Dr. M R Gorbal devoted 35 years to the Department of Physics at Karnatak University, inspiring generations with his dedication, humility, and love for learning. When he retired in 2000, his family sought a way to honor his values—integrity, curiosity, and the pursuit of knowledge. The Foundation was created to transform his legacy into opportunities for others.
In partnership with Karnatak University, we continue to bring bright minds together, open doors for deserving scholars, and sustain the spirit of inquiry that defined Dr. Gorbal’s life.

Dr. M. R. Gorbal signs second MoU to strengthen Chemistry research at Karnatak University
Building on the success of its first initiative, the foundation facilitated the second MoU to support advanced research in Chemistry at Karnataka University. The Foundation extended academic and financial support for fellowships, lectures, and research activities. This MoU reaffirms the Trust’s sustained commitment to nurturing scientific excellence and higher education.
